The Maysen man

Maysen is improving a little everyday. He is still a sad little baby, still having to suction a lot and coughing. But hes got his color back and bit more of his spunk. Overall he is doing better.

Being a parents STINKS!

Literally. Yesterday was a rough day in the Blanco household. Hinckley has been such a trouble maker lately. You can't let her out of your sight for a second or she'll do something like spread an entire cube of butter all over the stove. Henry and I were in the front room and realized it was a little too quiet. We found Hinckley in the bathroom fingerpainting, but not with paint.

As many of you know Henry has an extremely sensitive gag reflex. So he went off to get his mask that he uses for those especially smelly situations and proceeded to wash walls while I cleaned Hinckley. As soon as he was done with that Maysen made sure he got more good use of that mask. Freakin kids! Thank goodness for Henry!

It does stink being a baby at times too. Poor little Maysen has RSV and has been miserable the last few days. He's so stuffy and has the saddest hoarse little cry. And his mean mom won't stop suctioning his nose all the time. He sure is tough though, hes almost jumped off my lap a few times when I've tried to clean his nose. It's so sad, but he still smiles and has been so good considering. I hope my little guy gets better soon!

Wesley..Wesley

This kid cracks me up! Wesley had been working on his math homework yestereday and brought it down for Henry to check it, the handwriting was very messy so he was told to rewrite it neater. It was brought down later for me to correct it two of the problems said"I don't know" and then written again VERY NEATLY to the side "I don't know" and on two others "I have no idea". It just struck me as fuuny that Wesley, who always gets 100% in math thought this was as good as any answer rather than have to actually think about it for a minute or ask us for help. And that Henry totally missed it. I was teasing Wesley about it and he says "I don't know why he makes us do homework, he already knows all the answers!"

Me and my little man

Maysen is so cute. He hardly lets me hold him like this anymore, he always has to be up and looking around at everything. Yesterday was his 4 month checkup. He weighs 15lbs 2 oz and is 26 inches long. 80% for height, 50% for weight and head 60%. His heads a little lopsided, but not bad. On the scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst, he's about a 2. His head got worse when I put a light up music toy thing in his crib and he loves to turn and look at it, so now I lay him upside down to straighten him out so he doesn't end up in a helmet like Hinckley. Hinckley was so protective of him at the appointment and was telling the doctor all about him in her jibber jabber. She almost made me cry when they gave him his shots, she was so upset and her eyes filled with tears. She just had this sad, hurt look like why would you do that to my little brother and she would not let me touch his legs the rest of the night, telling me they hurt. She is so cute with him, such a good big sister.

Cambridge's sister in law did these cute family pictures for us in December, I'm obviously a little slow about getting things up on my blog. As you can tell Hinckley was quite mad about having pictures done, I never could get he to let me take one of her by herself. She sure got alot of M&Ms while we were trying!
