Pretty pretty princess!

I've totally lost my desire to blog this last month. Obviously! But I am so sick of looking at my stupid last entry so here's a cute one that I'll be glad to look at time and time again even if I don't get around to blogging for another 6 months.

Here's the babies! I can't believe Hinckley is now 3. It seems like yesterday
we were at Primary Childrens waiting for her to get her new and improved belly
button. We thought she would be jealous and a bully when de-throned by Maysen, but shes be such a great big sister. She loves to look out for her brother and make him laugh.

These guys make pictures so easy. They love to smile.

After Hinckley got her Cinderella dress from Nana for her birthday we couldn't get her out of it. I think she really thinks she is an actual princess. She insists on wearing a dress every day because thats what princesses do!

Hinckley is a huge Dora fan. She is not a huge Xavi fan. In an attempt to makes friends Xavi made sure to get the right present, a Dora doll. He did get a little acknowledgement from this and Hinckley loves toting it around. Oh... to be a kid when you can be a princess, magic fairy and your favorite toy friend is real.

Happy Birthday Princess Hinckley!

TAG

I am..a nurse, a mom, wife

I think...therefore I am, ha ha, how about the more I learn the less I know

I know...probably less than I think, just ask my parents

I have...a good life

I dislike...the fact that my kids can walk over the same thing 20 times without picking it up

I miss...being a kid(no care in the world, lots of fun)

I fear...anything bad happening to my family

I feel...mellow

I hear... the beeping of monitors, secretaries on the phone, Orville's crazy laugh

I smell...an air freshner

I crave.. diet coke, pasta, seafood

I cry... when I get really angy

I search...for knowledge, fun, friends

I wonder...about how its all going to end

I regret... when I'm so onry to Henry

I wish...I was independently wealthy. I like to work and would go crazy being home full time, but I would love for Henry and I both to be just part time. Someday.

I love...my family

I care...for people

I always..think to much

I worry...more than I should, just ask Henry it makes him crazy

I am not...high maintenance

I remember...Spanish fork with lots of bike traile and tree huts, playing outside all afternoon without my mom having to worry and sleepover parties outside with Lacy and the time she needed stiches after our wrestling match(which I obviously won).

I believe...in love, in God and karma

I sing...in the car

I don't like.. THE SWINE FLU Ahhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or any big scare pushed by the media. And before you ask no you don't have the swine flu, and no you aren't going to die.

I argue... too much

I write...notes to the kids and too much on the computer

I win...when I'm having s good night at canasda, I also like poker, though I'm not hat god at it

I listen.. when I care

I don't...like the swine flu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I can...start an IV

I need...to fix my car

I forget...alot

I am...happy with my life, my kids(most of the time), and my job

I tag anyone that wants to do this!

This kid makes me laugh

Here's Wes in my stylish shades.

Other things about Wes that make me smile:

Wesley has a tendency to use things before he ever checks the label. One of my first blog posts was about how he used desitin instead of toothpaste and couldn't figure out why it had such a strange taste. He never thought to read the label, even after he used it. This morning he asked me why the hair gel smelt so weird. That was probably because it was aloe vera! Someday I'm gonna teach this kid to read!!!

Wesley and I were on our way to his basketball game and stopped along the way to grab him a bite to eat. Here is our conversation while waiting in the fast food drive up:
Wes(W)- looking lost in thought says "Mom I need to tell you something".
Mom(M)-What
W-nevermind.
M-What
W-no, you'll be scared.
Now my interest is really peaked
M-Did something happen?
W- No, it's something that is going to happen
HMMMMMMMMMMMM what could this be?! After much coaxing and threatening to leave without getting his food he decides to lay it on me.
W-Mom...(pause for dramatic effect)...

I'm going blind.....
M-What?!
M-why do you think your going blind?
W- Well lots of times after I rub my eye hard I see colors that shouldn't be there and when I first wake up there like only a small circle of what I can see surrounded by black that gradually gets bigger and bigger. And (big sigh) sometimes I look at the sun and sometimes (looking down) I sit too close to the TV.
Oh Wesley.
Another day
M-(After a funny comment from Wesley) Wesley your a nutjob!
W-(totally serious) Well at least I not crazy.
What would I do without Wesley? Life would be so dull. He sure does good to get me fired up and drive me crazy, but he is so worth it!

My Maysen Man

Isn't he so cute? Sweet little Maysen snoozing away. He is so fun to cuddle. He loves to grab your face and pull you in to give you a kiss. He is growing so fast. Almost 7 months old! Maysers is getting so good at rolling over, its just kinda tough getting from his belly to back and it sure makes him mad. Maysen is working hard on talking and loves to stand. I think he's going to skip crawling and go straight to walking!

EASTER

The Easter Henry wanted...

The way it really went...

Hinckley was sooo excited to put on her "princess dress". She had been asking me every day the week before if she could wear it.

Maysen wasn't very impressed by the Easter egg hunt.

We had the egg hunt a couple days early because the older kids were going to be at their other parents house this year. They insisted on being able to hunt for the eggs they colored. Good thing the Easter bunny was okay with coming a few days early for them!

Henry and I were listening to Radio from Hell last week and Kerry was talking about how he was going to eat Rabbit for Easter dinner. We thought that was a funny idea and from then on Henry was on the quest to find a rabbit for Easter dinner. Apparently rabbit is hard to come by. The day before Easter Henry called me at work and asked if I wanted to see my Easter dinner. I walked out to see a cage with two sweet, little, cuddly bunnies. I had been expecting to see a package of meat, but since none of the butchers had or would sell rabbit Brad and Henry decided they would kill and skin rabbits themselves.

Well after seeing and holding the cute little bunnies, brutally murdering these helpless little things was no longer an option and I told Henry he better go buy some bunny food on his way home. Of course Brad and Henry weren't happy to hear this. Especially after they had to spend several hours the next day building "their dinner" a new home the next day. Oh well! Lucky, (perfect name huh!), sure is cute and the kids love him! Happy Easter!

Happy Birthday Dad!

Yes ANOTHER birthday post. The Johnson family does alot of partying the month of April!
I had to post this picture of my dad that I stole from Brittney's blog cause it makes me laugh. No, thats not his real mario mustache. He's just being funny like always. My dad always can find a way to brighten someones day and is so fun to talk to. Thats probably why you can't go anywhere in town with him without being stopped by several that want to talk to him and tell me what a great guy he is. Thanks for being the best dad ever! Love you!

And happy birthday to Sharon and Alyson-love you guys!

"They say it's your birthday...it's my birthday too ya"

Lacy and I used to think we were so funny dedicating that Beatles song for each other on our birthday! Heres a picture of me and Lacy just a few years ago.(I'm the cute one! Just kidding Lacy) Even though I had to work it was a good birthday. Sweet little Brynn decorated the triage room with a bunch of birthday pictures she colored and a colorful urine strainer and left me a gift and treats. My co workers also got me a cute spring sign and a delicious cake. I also had a great visit from my wonderful husband and cute little ones for lunch, lots of phone calls and texts from friends and family and then Tepanyakis for dinner. Yum!
Thanks everybody for a great birthday. And happy birthday to Lacy too! Love you LITTLE sis!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

I want to wish a very happy birthday to my sweet sister Cambridge! I have always loved how close my sisters and I have all been. Cambridge is so good to talk to and always willing to listen and help with anything she can. Even though she didn't move very far I miss having her so close.

Cambridge is a great mom and loves to spend time with her family.

Cj- I'm sure your stuck at work and running around as usual, but I hope you still have a great day! Love you!

Sweet little Hinckley thought it would be a great idea to give herself a little manicure when mom wan't looking. She got bright red nail polish all over her fingers, legs, toes and sheets!

What a little s@#%!

Hinckley is such a menace. She is constantly thinking of new ways to aggrevate her Mama and Papa and get into trouble. Lauri, at work, thinks this is hilarious. She often comes up to me wanting to hear the lastest story of what trouble miss Hinckley has been into. She laughs and laughs. It wasn't quite as funny when she was in that place in life, but it sure seems to be when its not your kid! She also loves to remind me, with a sparkle in her eye, of the wonderful teenage years to come. So heres a couple of the latest and greatest for Lauri.
One of our latest battles has been to get Hinckley to spend the entire night in her own bed again. After a night of failed attempts Hinckley had fallen asleep in our bed. Henry woke up at 12:30am and Hinckley was gone. He got up to look for her and found her in the front room with her backpack full of toys on her back, a diet coke in hand, and a big smile on her face. "Hi Papa!"

Hinckley's loves to watch her favorites shows and often monopolizes the TV so we "take turns" or at least thats what she tells me. She'll watch a couple of her favorite shows and then its "Mom's turn." About 3 minutes into my show, 2 year old sassy little Hinckley walks up to the TV turns it off, puts her hands on her hips and says "We need to talk". ok. She comes over, pointing her skinny little finger and jibber jabbers complete nonsense for awhile and then goes back about her business. She repeats this process until I give up.
If this kid wasn't so cute, she'd get it.

Missing Arizona

It was kinda tough to come home from Arizona, we sure miss... All the beautiful flowers

Golfing in the warm sun

Playing canasta(and getting in a good nap every time it was Blaine's turn)

Grown up movies in the middle of the day with no kids!

Sitting in the sun by the fountains at Westpoint

Beating the boys in darts! It's amazing Henry did get one in the head from Chachy! Words of wisdom- NEVER PISS OFF A SPANISH WOMAN.

And.. "The Unit." Nothing better than watching baseball games, eating peanuts and getting a tan!

BUT... theres still nothing better than to come home and see all these guys!!

Take me out to the ballgame!

Henry and I decided we really needed a break and some good quality time together. We decided to go see my good friend Chachy in Arizona and catch some spring training games. It has been so much fun! Yesterday we saw the Rangers/Dodgers game and today we got to see Henry's favorite team The Giants. Unfortunatly the giants lost, but I was so much fun to see Randy Johnson and Lincecum pitch sitting right there behind home plate.

The weather has been great and I already have a real tan(I attempted a instant spray on tan before I left with some slightly embarrassing result, but its all blended in now.)

I must be getting old

My baby boy Wesley turned 10 years old this month!! Wow, it didn't think I would be one of those old lady reminising on how fast the years pass, but holy crap!?! Wasn't he just starting kindergarten last week? Wesley is such a sweet boy, if anyone is down or upset he is the first to notice and there trying to make them feel better. He is such a grea writter and is hilarious. If you haven't seen it yet check out his blog "Wesley's world", he cracks me up. Love you Wesley! For Wesley's birthday we went to good old Laser Assault, which is just how I remembered it from high school! The kids had fun and lots of pizza cake and ice cream.

Another big day!!! Little miss Karsyn turned 8 and was baptized by her Papa the end of February. She was so excited and got lots of words of wisdom from her older siblings Isabel and Wesley. Isabel said the prayer at her baptizm and Wesley gave a talk. Both prepared them on their own and did a great job. Karsyn looked just like a princess in her little white dress from her Grandma and Grandpa Erickson.

Karsyn is such a sweet, caring girl. She loves to help with Maysen and Hinckley, cooking, and always does whatever is needed without ever complaining. She is the first to jump up when you ask for help and always has a smile on her face. What more could you ask for!
